With the our new computer system you are able to text for your taxi. This facility will send your SMS message to the above number, which when received is processed through a mobile phone and downloaded onto the computer. Once your text message has been received the operator is notified that there is an SMS to process. All the information is collated and entered into a booking screen and your transport will be booked. An acknowledgement message reading ‘Thank you for choosing to travel with Fylde Taxis, your journey has been booked.’ is then sent to your phone via the computer informing you that you taxi is booked for you.

Linked with this is a Textback facility. The textback facility can be enabled anytime you text or ring from a mobile phone. This means that should you driver arrive at your address before you have come out, or if he is struggling to find you, he can use the datahead computer in his car to send an SMS message to your phone. This message will tell you the make, model and colour of the vehicle that is waiting for you.

Please always include your destination should you book your taxi through the SMS service, as a destination needs to be given on all bookings. This helps us provide a better service to the next customer which could be you.
