I was ringing to enquire what rates you charge for a taxi journey around the local area?
All local journey’s are charged at fares are set by the local Borough Council. As no two journey’s are the same, there may be slight variances in the prices that you pay for your journey. This generally equates to approximately 20p. A copy of applicable fares can be seen if you click the Fylde Borough Council link to give you some sort of idea how much you will pay over a certain distance. Should you require a quote from point A to point B, please contact our office bearing in mind all quotes are estimated and are metered fares and you will be required to pay the total stated on the meter.
I’m traveling to Liverpool airport to get a flight. There is only one person traveling and I need to depart at five in the morning. Would there be any extra charge for this?
Between 2300hrs and 0600hrs there is a £5.00 surcharge on all distance booking due to being during unsociable hours. The standard fare for up to four passengers to Liverpool John Lennon Airport is £45.00, with traveling at 0500hrs, including the surcharge the total price for a one way journey would be £50.00 Should you want to travel to any other locations please refer to our price list. My family and I were hoping to travel to Manchester Aiport. There are five of us. Would you be able to cater for this?
We are able to carry a maximum of eight passengers to all airports and a vast array of other destinations. The standard fare for a one way journey to Manchester Airport for up to eight passengers is £58.00. Should you want to travel to any other locations please refer to our price list below. How long does it generally take for you to get a cab round for an immediate booking?
Our aim is to try and get you a vehicle within five minutes of your initial call. During busy points of the week, or should there be a delay on the time it will take for us to provide you with transport you should be informed by the office what type of a delay there is. All our telephone operators are instructed to give you an approximate time as near as possible to how long it will take for your vehicle to arrive. Please bear in mind that some of our vehicles are subject to availability and advance booking is recommended if you should require a certain type of vehicle.
How much notice should I give if I wanted to order a taxi?
Dependent on your needs, generally we can get a car round to you within five minutes. However, certain vehicles are subject to availability and it is recommended that if you need a specific vehicle you should try and give us 24 hours notice where this is possible. If we know in advance that there is a specific vehicle required for a job, then we can make arrangements for the driver to be available. We do understand that in certain situations it is not possible for this much notice to be given, and in those instances we are sure that our operators will do their best to accommodate your booking.
I want to pay for my journey on a credit card. Is this possible, and are there any extra costs?
We are able to accept all major credit cards, including American Express. All transactions to be processed for payment through a credit card are subject to a handling charge. This is variant on the amount of the bill, but is generally a 10% charge on the stated price. Credit card transactions can be processed over the phone, so there is no need for you to come into our office. All details are encrypted until the time the transaction is processed.
